The British Red Cross helps vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and
wherever they are.
Throughout the British Red Cross, trainers deliver a range of courses to volunteers, staff, community groups, young people and the wider community. To support our provision of courses in first aid, humanitarian issues and professional competencies, we are looking to recruit a part-time monitor/trainer. The post holder will provide quality assurance in the Thames Valley by monitoring our area trainers and giving constructive advice to improve our training delivery. The post holder will also deliver training to volunteers and staff.
It is essential that you have experience in training, education and assessment and that you have the ability to travel around the area (Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire). It is also important that you have an interest in training and in supporting trainers in their development. It would be good if you already have a First Aid qualification, if not you should be prepared to gain one within an agreed time frame. Red Cross training takes place during the day, in the evening and at weekends. Therefore, this role will require working at a variety of flexible times, in negotiation with line manager.
