Grandmentors: Mentoring Development Worker

By RachaelBayley - Posted on 17 July 2009

Ref: RSVPLD12

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a unique new project, supporting older volunteers as mentors to young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), with the aim of improving their life chances. Thanks to 3 year funding, CSV's Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme is able to pilot this new work in Hackney and Islington, north London.

We want a committed and creative person to set up and co-ordinate the project; recruit, train, manage and support a team of senior volunteers and match them with young people.

Experience of working with volunteers is essential; and experience of working with young people is desirable, particularly those who are NEET. It would also be helpful to have experience of working with older people and in an inner city area.

If you have the skills, energy and enthusiasm for this role, download an application pack from www.csv.org.uk/jobs or contact Shahina Bibi on 020 7643 1385 or sbibi@csv.org.uk

Closing date Wednesday 12th August

Interviews are likely to be held in the 1st week of September
