Training Opportunities for Managers of Volunteers

By suevjones - Posted on 10 May 2009

Volunteer Centre Warrington are delivering a one day workshop in Manchester for anyone who has responsibility for managing volunteers:

Counting Beans: Measuring the Impact of the work of your Volunteers

We are increasingly being asked to gather data and information about our volunteering programmes, and there is often much focus on the number of hours given by volunteers. But, how do we truly measure the contribution made by volunteers to our organisations? And, what sort of information should we be seeking and keeping in order to help us evaluate the success of our volunteer programmes?

  • This interactive workshop session will focus on:
  • New methods of reviewing progress, including Social Reporting.
  • Why we need to measure impact effectively to meet the needs of funders, our organisations and the wider community.
  • Applying evaluation as a tool for improving your Volunteer Programme.
  • Looking beyond purely counting volunteer hours to assess their contribution.

Don't miss this opportunity to:

  • Share your own experiences, plus learn from others.
  • Discuss and debate the different ways of looking at evaluation.
  • Gain some practical ideas to apply back in the workplace.
