Our next Friday Live Chat for Volunteer Managers is Friday 25th February, at the new time of 12:00 – 13:00.

Our theme for this month’s chat is, “How can we ensure we’re including the digitally excluded?”, and our hosts are Rob Jackson and Neil Monk, Director of AVM.

Love it or loathe it, digital and hybrid volunteering is here to stay, but we may be missing out on some potentially amazing volunteers without realising it.

So, after our usual brief introductions, we’ll discuss some questions about how volunteer managers and organisations can work towards being inclusive of the digitally excluded:

  • How well did your volunteers adjust to moving online due to the pandemic?
  • Have you gained more volunteers because you now offer digital opportunities to volunteer?
  • What are your biggest challenges to be inclusive of those who are digitally excluded?
  • What support and resources do you need to be able to have a blend of online and offline volunteer opportunities?

We’d also love to hear from you if you’d be interested in supporting more networking for your peers, either through Voluntary Voice, or in different ways through AVM. We’re working on our peer networking plans, so please let us know if you’d like to hear more.

Please RSVP to let us know if you’re coming. We look forward to seeing you on Friday 25th February, at 12 pm for some engaging peer-to-peer chat.
