SUMMARY:Peer Support Networking Meeting: London
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 22 April 2026 | 9.30am to 11.15am | London\nTickets: Free\nWe had a great meeting in January where we welcomed new volunteer managers to the network as well as many of those who have attended before. \nIn April we’re continuing with our focus of giving you time and space to reflect on your own practice. \nIn this peer networking session we’re delighted to be joined by University of London Senior Lecturer\, Susannah Pickering-Saqqa who will be using her Volunteer Reflect and Grow cards to run a reflective practice session to help you find a moment of stillness and calm in your busy world. We’ll explore how the cards were developed and how you might use them in your own organisations. \nWe will also be sharing a new resource hub we are starting to develop for the network\, and as always there will be time to meet and connect with others. \nEveryone is welcome\, including those who haven’t attended before and those who aren’t members of AVM\, although booking is essential as places are limited by the venue capacity. Tea\, coffee and biscuits will be available. \nWe look forward to meeting you. \nAbout AVM’s regional Peer Support Networking Groups\nOur Peer Support Networking Groups aim to bring people together to develop\, connect and empower one another as well as further the volunteer management profession. \nThey are managed by a regional Peer Support Group Lead\, and free of charge for anyone working in volunteer management. \nWe are slowly expanding face-to-face networking opportunities across the four nations\, although everyone is welcome to attend any meeting\, regardless of where they are based. \nPeer Support Group Leads\nSusannah Hodge and Jess Young \nVenue\nRoyal Horticultural Society (RHS)\, 80 Vincent Square\, London SW1P 2PE. \nYou will need to register on arrival – further details will be circulated closer to the date of the meeting. \nThe closest station is Victoria. \nAccessibility\nIf you have any accessibility requirements\, please include these in the relevant section of the booking form so that the meeting organiser can explore how they can be accommodated for you. \nBooking\nBook your place via our online booking form. \n  \nSave the date – we have also confirmed the date for the next meeting which will be on Monday 21 September 2026. More details will follow soon.
