How do you inspire a network of managers to lead with both autonomy and alignment?
By applying leadership models to the development of volunteer managers, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
This training session is aimed at senior leaders in volunteering who want to develop confident, autonomous volunteer managers, supporting longer term succession planning and retention.
Leading and managing volunteers is different from managing paid staff and this session will equip you with practical strategies to coach and develop volunteer managers. You will explore different leadership strategies, effective coaching techniques and learn how to build confidence and autonomy in volunteer leaders.
Through interactive discussions and practical activities, you will develop knowledge and skills to expand your leadership capability, foster engagement, and create a supportive culture for your volunteer managers.
This event will cover:
- the role of leadership strategies/approaches and their relationship to coaching and other development activities
- reviewing and applying coaching principles and techniques to foster volunteer management development
- identifying how to apply these skills back in your workplace.
