How can you turn evidence of volunteering’s impact into a compelling case for investment? This event will bring together two complementary sessions to help you identify the evidence that matters, connect it to organisational priorities and communicate it with influence.
It has been designed for volunteer managers and leaders with strategic responsibilities, and will combine practical approaches to impact measurement with opportunities to shape a persuasive message for the people making investment decisions.
Measuring What Matters with Chris Wade – Director, Time for Impact
Chris will explore what decision-makers value and how to move beyond reporting volunteer activity to demonstrating meaningful impact. He will introduce practical approaches and a tool for measuring that impact, helping you consider what evidence to gather, whose outcomes to capture and how to connect your findings to organisational and funder priorities.
This session will cover:
- identifying the most meaningful data to evidence the impact of volunteering within your organisation
- understanding practical approaches and tools for gathering and using impact data
- translating data into clear, strategic messages for senior stakeholders
- applying influencing techniques to strengthen the case for investment in volunteering
- developing a tailored approach to presenting impact at a senior level.
From Impact to Investment with Rachel Stewart – Career and Leadership Coach, FRS Consultancy
Building on this evidence, Rachel will explore how to turn insight into influence. There will also be an opportunity to apply this approach to your own situation and identify a practical next step that you can take after the event.
