The National Occupational Standards for volunteer managers have been developed to encourage good management of volunteers.
The National Occupational Standards cover the following areas:
- Developing and evaluating strategies and policies that support volunteering
- Promoting volunteering
- Recruit & induct volunteers
- Managing and developing volunteers
- Managing yourself, your relationships and your responsibilities
- Providing management support for volunteering programmes
