Emotionally challenging situations and difficult conversations (AVM Replay)

Managing volunteers can sometimes be an emotionally challenging experience.

- Do you have the guidance and support necessary to cope effectively with these situations?
- Have you had useful guidance on saying 'No' to volunteers, or on supporting volunteers and /or clients in stressful situations?

This event aims to discuss these crucial issues and offer some practical guidance both on techniques and best practice. With a combination of presentations and interactive workshops from experienced practitioners, this promises to be a busy and rewarding day.

New perspective on measuring health and well-being benefits (AVM Replay)

- How can we measure wellbeing improvements effectively?
- How can we utilise the resulting data?
- How do the positive health and wellbeing benefits to volunteers impact the wider organisation?

This event will look at some really innovative work with volunteer programmes, not only in measuring the health and wellbeing benefits of volunteering, but also in integrating the lessons learned into future activity. We know that volunteers benefit from volunteering, but how do we quantify that benefit, then use it to motivate and encourage volunteers and other stakeholders?
